KATHEE ESTEY The Journey to Stillpoint by Boyd Martin
"I was a Treasurer of a large rural school district in Idaho," recounts Kathee. "Had to deal with over 200 people, a multi-million dollar budget. Everything had to be black and white and balanced--perfectly done and ahead of time. Little did I know then that 20 years later and 3,000 miles away I'd be a Certified Intuitive Healer. Wow."
Fast forward 20 years, and Kathee had returned to her native Cape Cod. When she went to Dorothy McDermott, an EMF Balancing [INFO] Practitioner, for energy work, Kathee heard about the Stillpoint School founded by Meredith Young-Sowers. "On hearing Meredith's name after 20 years, it acted like an instant trigger to me. I knew I was going to go to that school," says Kathee. In fact, both Dorothy and Kathee attended Stillpoint together.
Fast forward again one year, and Kathee had become a Certified Intuitive Healer, Holistic Healing Coach and trained Spiritual Mentor in the Stillpoint system. Adding to this course of study, Kathee also trained in Reiki which she uses to complement and amplify her Stillpoint work.
As Kathee builds her practice, her clients find her through word of mouth. Kathee then does an energy evaluation, analyzing the energy flows through each of the major centers, "because each has a story to tell," relates Kathee. "I sense the health of each region, check the major systems of the body, then I interpret the information present in the energy field to determine, at the deepest level, how a person feels about their life, specific relationships and their influence on well-being--the issues that are having an impact on a person's life."
Kathee then gives an hour-long phone consultation presenting her findings and analysis. Discussion with the client follows, and specific spiritual practices are arrived at for incorporation into a holistic treatment plan. Each treatment plan is specific to the needs of each client, but are drawn from several standard practices developed by Stillpoint. Kathee points out one useful technique, especially during times of stress or pain. "You can get in touch with the still point, or God connection for healing by putting your hand over your heart. It will calm immediately. Also, with pain, hold one hand over the heart and the other over the area of pain."
Kathee stresses that so many of us use our emotional energy to beat ourselves up rather than using that energy to heal ourselves and others. Kathee says she likes to say that Stillpoint offers "new tools for healing our wounded places."
On the Stillpoint website, Meredith Young-Sowers lays out the philosophy of Stillpoint:
